ABSTRACT

The Northeast Implementation Team for Right Whale Recovery meeting presentation is a Microsoft Power Point slide show that demonstrates the range of information that can be ascertained from photographs of propeller cuts using methods and computational tools developed by the author.  This presentation uses two evaluations of propeller cuts on right whales as examples.  One evaluation was performed on photographs from the right whale necropsy RKB-1424.  The other evaluation was performed on photographs of right whale #2425 which suffered non-fatal injuries from a propeller strike.
